Itty Bitty

So I’ve got this itty-bitty living in my heart. Yep that’s her, and you can see why she’s in my heart. Honery as a hornet and cute as a bug, that would be our Adausha. She’s giving her mommy a run for her money; we’ll just call her Ms. Attitude for now, because she is one big attitude in a very small package, kind of like dynamite.

In any case, she’s starting the “Potty Training” phase of her growing years. Adausha does all things with gusto, that’s her motto in life, do it big or don’t bother doing it at all.

Her mother, Amanda, has bought her pull up’s, and tells her that they are her big girl panties, Adausha thinks this is really cool, she can get them off quicker than you can get them on . . . new game. Now Adausha’s a quick learner, and has figured out that if she removes the big girl panties for no good reason, other than she wants too, she’s going to get a reminder that they belong on the body not on the floor . . . she doesn’t like to be reminded of anything!

Adausha discovered the only way around this being pointed out, that she’s overstepped her boundaries again, is to look at her mom and say “cocka mommy! Potty!” with that Amanda is racing across the room, sweeping her into the bathroom and sitting her down on her potty chair, praising her for telling her she needs to go! “What a big girl, what a good girl!” Yep, this is so much better, the master manipulator has a plan and it’s working, she can make mommy jump through hoops… with a couple of mastered words and a smile. She’s liking this.

As things go, they are both being trained; Adausha is actually starting to produce while she’s on the potty chair. Yep she’s catching quite of bit of her tinkles, and loves the hugs she gets when she can produce something in the pink chair. She’s relishing this newfound stardom, she’s a superstar, and this is better than big hugs and kisses.

But funny beyond funny, was her first fart. Yep, the little stinker thought she had something happening down there, so she did her usual call out announcement, and mom responded accordingly. She was on her pink thrown, when out slips a loud fart, now toddlers are used to their farting sounds being pretty muffled through the diaper, this is the first time that she’s produced one that wasn’t in the diaper or the bathtub making bubbles. The echo that it created, sent her flying across the room, her eyes wide in fright, she was just sure some kind of monster was under her potty chair trying to bite her little butt. When she ran, she of course tinkled down her leg, and she’s afraid to go back and see what is in her potty chair. Once Amanda got over the hysterical laughter, she wiped the pee from her daughter’s legs, and showed her that there wasn’t anything trying to get her.

Yesterday Adausha finally produced a turd in the potty chair, she was so proud of herself, she was showing everyone she could that she’d done something really special, after all mommy told her how great it was. She even wanted to wake up grandpa, and was mad at us because we wouldn’t let her wake him; he’s sleeping because he’s on the graveyard shift this month. While she was being brought back to reality, mom tried to clean up the potty chair, Adausha caught her flushing the turd, and the Holy War broke out. Apparently Adausha wanted her first big girl turd bronzed or something, she had bigger plans than a burial at sea… life’s lessons are tough.

Oh yea, my life is full of all kinds of excitement these days.
