Re: Ghost Hunting
Sue, it seems as soon as I presented my query about the dreams here, they stopped, totally. Also during the day my fretting seems to have ceased about him. Of course I am still sad, but there has been an immediate change. I have not visited his mom yet.

I saw the young man with tears rolling down his face in the cold February air. He nervously tried to wipe them away, as he was proud and didn't want anyone to see his grief. He stood tall after he'd carried the casket that held his grandfather who died days before of lung cancer. My son knew he could never joke with his papaw ever again.
You can't put a price on a healthy set of lungs. It's just how much you're willin' to pay.

Re: Ghost Hunting
Like I said earlier, it was foremost on your mind and of course you would dream of it. Now that it is becoming old news, still sad news, but old news, you're mind has dealt with it, thus the dreams and fretting stop...Human nature with tragedys.

Whatever the case, I am glad the dreams about him has stopped. I hope all the nightmares stop completely. Last night I had a vivid dream about comets destroying the world. I don't know what the hell is wrong with me, but I wish it would stop.

Re: Ghost Hunting
I had a strange dream last night that my sister didn't really die. She came walking into the living room at my Mom's house and it turned out that everyone except me had known all along that she hadn't really died. It was supposed to be a joke on me. The really weird part, though, is that my sister wasn't a woman, she looked like a guy. She wore jeans and a flannel shirt. Part of the reason she looked like a guy was because her hair was almost nonexistent. Before she died, she had been dealing with these bumps on her head. She would pick at them and they would bleed. She ended up cutting her hair really, really short -- similar to a buzz cut almost. I remember when I was saying my goodbye's at the hospital, at one point I said aloud, "Your head is finally all cleared up." It was a surreal moment. I just thought the whole dream was odd.

Re: Ghost Hunting
I have had a nightmare now for years. Not for sometime now thank the good Lord. I would be somewhere out shopping etc. in a huge mall and for some reason I would leave and halfway home realize I didn't have my purse and then the nightmare started trying to get back to that mall. I know it doesn't sound scary but I keep everything in my purse, everything important, and would hate to lose it. Anyway no matter how hard I tried I couldn't find my way back and I would actually wake up in a start, in a cold sweat and sometimes in tears. Seems since I work from home now and have dismantled the purse only carrying a wallet now, the dream has stopped. But a dream can be a terrible thing to ones psychie.

Chatty, isn't it interesting that since you dismantled your purse, the dreams stopped. Maybe they were trying to tell you something akin to "don't keep all your eggs in one basket" so to speak. When you changed your pattern of behavior (even if it wasn't intentional), the dreams stopped. Fascinating.

Re: Ghost Hunting
Very insightful Merri, I agree 100%. I use to keep my entire life in my purse so to speak, but no more. Besides being a bit/h to carry around, I had to watch it like a hawk. I still watch my wallet but a little strap fits around my wrist so its always close to me. I use to say if I WAS MAROONED ON A DESERT ISLAND WITH ONLY MY PURSE, I could do very nicely for a long time, LOL!!!

Ha! I'm the same way. I've downsized the essentials that I carry in my handbag, but I think I could survive for a while if I was stranded somewhere with the things I carry with me all the time. It's kind of funny because I carry a large bag, but there's hardly anything in it! I use it to carry things from my home to work and vice versa, so most of the time it's mostly empty.

Oh, that's smart! I can just see me being watched to see if my bag suddenly became filled with items upon my departure!!!

Re: Ghost Hunting
Mel, I agree with Chatty about your dreams.
Dreams are very strange, but they are often triggered by subconscious stimuli, not prophetic visions or spooks. Those the reoccur are tying to tell us something or trying to deal with psychic termoil. They do carry some importance, but most dreams are simply your subconscious mind working on stimuli that we ignore or deny. Most of them are based in some realized or denied fear.
Frued's "Interpertation of Dreams," is still one of the best books on this subject.
